Laura Hamilton issues urgent warning to fans over online imposter as she calls police over ‘serious’ concerns | The Sun

A Place in the Sun star Laura Hamilton has sent a warning to fans after being impersonated online.

The upset 40-year-old told how she has got the police involved to deal with the “serious” situation which is threatening to ruin her holiday.


In a passionate video, Laura explained: “You will see from my Instagram, my official Instragram I might add, that I am being informed again that there is still somebody who has got a fake Instagram account and is contacting people on my behalf and it’s not me.

“It actually getting quite serious now so it’s going to be reported to the police.

“This is my genuine Instagram and I am on holiday trying to celebrate my friend’s birthday.

“But I just wanted to reiterate in this story that there is only one Instagram account that is me and it’s this one. So if you get any messages from anyone else please ignore, delete and block.

“As I said, it’s getting quite serious now and I am going to have to get the police involved.”

Laura is currently on holiday in Turkey with her girlfriends, following her split from insurance broker Alex.

Telly star Laura married Alex in 2012 – three years after they started dating – and they share kids Rocco, eight, and Tahlia, six.

Back in January, it was revealed that they had split after a total of 13 years together.

Announcing the news, Laura said: “This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be saying but, after 13 years of being together, Alex and I have separated.

“Our children are and always will be our number one priority and we would respect privacy for our family at this time.”

A month later, the star admitted that she was “overwhelmed with sadness” after breaking the news.

At the start of April, she sold the picturesque cafe that she had once run with Alex. The sale reportedly left her heartbroken.

Laura has hosted A Place In The Sun since 2012, helping countless couples find holiday homes.

But she is now branching out with her TV work, recently revealing she’s joining the This Morning team “for the next few weeks”.
