Lauren catches dad Max Branning in bed with her best mate in EastEnders

Lauren and Max Branning in EastEnders

Leopards never change their spots, and EastEnders’ love rat Max Branning (Jake Wood) is no different, with daughter Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) confirming that her dad had once again slept with her best mate.

Classy Max. REAL classy.

Lauren stopped by the Square to pay her respects to grandma Dot (June Brown) on the day of her funeral, and caught up with a number of her loved ones in the process.

Tuesday’s (December 13) edition of the BBC One soap saw Jack (Scott Maslen) ask her about how her dad Max has been keeping following his departure from Walford last year.

Lauren, however, admitted that she doesn’t know, revealing that they’re not on the best of terms after she caught him in bed with her best mate.

Oh Max.

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), meanwhile, who had been serving at the bar when the conversation took place, commented that Max is up to his ‘old tricks’ once more.

Lauren wasn’t pleased with Linda’s comment, and rudely branded her a ‘cow’, claiming that the landlady ‘wrecked’ Max’s head during their affair – which was one of the show’s more contentious storylines, with fans branding the whole thing ‘out of character’ for Linda.

They’re weren’t wrong.

But despite Lauren’s claims, she clearly didn’t know all the facts if she thinks Linda wrecked Max’s head and not the other way about, given that he was the one who constantly pursed Linda – and tried to make her leave Mick (Danny Dyer) for him.

Linda, however, wasn’t standing for Lauren’s nonsense, and was quick to put her in her place, commenting that she hoped Lauren would’ve had more compassion given that they’re both in recovery, before threatening to kick her out of the Vic.

You tell her Linda!

Max hasn’t been since on-screen since he left the Square back in February 2021.

EastEnders continues Thursday December 15 at 7:30pm on BBC One.
