Linda Robson hits out at humourless Janet Street Porter in Loose Women row

Loose Women star Linda Robson has taken aim at her "humourless" colleague Janet Street Porter in a heated row over Boris Johnson.

The panellists appeared on Tuesday's episode (September 6) of the ITV daytime programme where the topic of whether or not Boris was a good Prime Minister was discussed.

As Janet and Brenda Edwards criticised the recently departed PM, Linda sprang to his defence.

Listing off her view on Boris Johnson's achievements in post, Linda later bashed Janet for her "humourless stance" on the issue.

Linda said: "And he gave us some laughs on the way too – unlike you, Janet."

Following the outburst, a stunned Janet replied: "Well thank you, Linda!"

In the wake of Linda's speech, Janet proceeded to list her own views on Boris' failings as Prime Minister – including the issues of rising energy bills and 'railways being in meltdown'.

She also criticised the politician for "lying as usual" in his farewell speech outside Downing Street.

"That's because they've never met him," Linda concluded.

Unwilling to take more flack from her colleague, Janet quipped back: "Is that because she doesn't' live in your postcode, Linda?"
