Live with Kelly and Mark’s crew member ‘fell asleep’

Kelly Ripa threatens to take off skirt and bra

For six years, ABC’s hit talk show Live with Kelly and Ryan dominated the airwaves as the hosts discussed their lives and pop culture.

Despite the show’s success, viewers were forced to say goodbye to Ryan after his final episode took place earlier this month.

Throughout the episode, Kelly was overcome with emotion as she delivered a tear-jerking speech and shared her appreciation for Ryan.

His farewell episode ended with Kelly’s husband Mark Consuelos bringing out a sardine-themed cake as Ryan passed on the hosting baton.

However, just a week into the newly titled Live with Kelly and Mark, crew members are seemingly struggling to adjust.

According to The Sun US, an unnamed crew member decided to take a nap during a pre-taping of the talk show.

A source told the publication: “A crew member who was off to the side kept opening and closing his eyes as he was dozing off.”

“He then legitimately fell asleep for about two minutes while Kelly and Mark were still going on about the news topics.”

The insider suggested the audience appeared to be bored while they watched the couple’s morning taping.

They added: “People were yawning and seemed bored, the monologue dragged on for about 20 minutes.

“It was a mix of the topics they were talking about and the way Kelly and Mark presented them.

“Kelly was leading the conversations and made more jokes than Mark.

“No one really laughed at Mark’s punchlines. In fact, some of the crew would laugh louder than the audience at times.”

However, a source close to production told The Sun US: “The Live hosts and crew is a supportive family.

“No one would fall asleep- the set is too lively.”

Viewers have also admitted to struggling with the recent change to the talk show as Live with Kelly and Mark has been met with backlash.

While others have defended the couple and praised their on-screen chemistry.

Live with Kelly and Mark continues weekdays on ABC in the USA.
