LOCATION, Location, Location's Kirstie Allsop has hit back at critics after being branded a "sexist" on Twitter.

The Channel 4 presenter, 49, has clapped back at a follower on social media after they commented that the presenter had an out of date generalised view of roles in a partnership.


The social media user said that Kirstie had an "archaic view" of relationships after she made a comment saying "Christmas brain in men is exceptionally rare".

Kirstie's tweet read: "Christmas brain in men is exceptionally rare. But symptoms can be rapidly eased by taking advice from a daughter, sister-in-law or sister."

But many didn't agree with Kirstie's way of thinking that men don't do enough during Christmas.

Viewers took to Twitter share their thoughts, with some even branding her a "sexist".

One fan wrote: "How do we move forward with this archaic generalised view of roles in a partnership. Sorry to all the women who aren’t in a relationship that does share the load at least somewhere close to equal, particularly over the Christmas period. Expect better from you Kirsty."

But Kirstie who's no stranger to voicing her opinions and having strong comebacks, responded: "It’s ie, and lighten up mate."

Another user soon chimed in: "I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot you'd be up in arms."

Soon a flurry of social media users joined in on the twitter thread, as another asked: "Sorry Dan it’s Kirstie. How did you expect better? Haven’t you seen her comments this year?"

Kirstie, who had clearly had enough at this point, fired back: "Mark you don’t follow me so any “comments” of mine you’ve seen this year have been second hand. Perhaps better to follow people for a bit before being so condemning?"

Kirstie's original tweet got many talking on social media too, as users shared their opinions.

One penned: "Bit sexist. What about the men?"

Another user exclaimed: "Men get it acutely for 45 minutes on Christmas Eve!"

A fifth unimpressed user wrote: "Now, if a chap had said this about the female of the species, there would be hell to pay!!! Naughty"
