Loose Women pulled off air until next week after Ruth Langsford announcement

Loose Women has been taken off air for the rest of the week.

Host Ruth Langsford announced during Monday's (March 13) programme that the ITV1 daytime show will not be back on air until the following week.

She told viewers: "We are off for the rest of the week because of the racing at Cheltenham."

Fans now have to wait until Monday, March 20 for their next Loose Women fix.

Speaking of the show's return, Ruth added: "We will be back next Monday. I know it's a shame, but we will see you then."

Cheltenham Festival at Cheltenham Racecourse will be airing on ITV1 from Tuesday, March 14 to Friday, March 17.

Instead of Loose Women airing at 12.30pm the ITV lunchtime news will instead be shown until 12.50pm. Loose Women continues at 12:30pm on ITV next week

This Morning will remain on air in their usual slot from 10am until 12:30pm but instead of handing over to the Loose ladies they will hand over to ITV news team for the lunchtime news and weather.

Then the regional news will be on air for just 10 minutes before live coverage from Cheltenham kicks off.

Ed Chamberlin will present the live show throughout the week and he will be joined by well known faces from the racing world.

Tipping Point: Best Ever Finals will then air at 4:30pm bringing the racing to an end for the day.

That is the schedule for Tuesday, Thursday and Friday as Wednesday's schedule will run slightly differently due to The Chancellor's budget.

On Wednesday, This Morning will finish at the slightly earlier time of 12:15pm.

That is because ITV will air an ITV news special that will show The Chancellor's Budget followed by the weather until 1:50pm.

Once again the regional news will then be broadcast for just 10 minutes.

At 2pm, Ed will then be back on ITV1 to bring viewers live coverage from Cheltenham Racecourse.

Fans of the racing do not need to worry about missing the opening races as the show will be on ITV4 from 1pm until 2.05pm.

Loose Women returns to ITV1 on Monday, March 20
