Actress Thomas addressed the dynamic between Lord and Lady Danbury, saying: “It is one that is of necessity. I think that is the greatest way to put it. It’s not one of violence or disrespect, but rather, a very picture perfect understanding of what a relationship between a man and a woman looked like during the Georgian time period.

“So, it’s a marriage to a man much older, her senior, one that she was groomed to marry from a very young age, and so Agatha has been living up to the idea of a woman for this man.”
