Love is Blind sees 30 singletons put the theory to the test that personality and connection conquer physical attraction when it comes to falling in love. The Netflix series saw contestants get engaged without ever laying eyes on one another with their looks only revealed once they’ve popped the question. Most of the couples didn’t make it too far in the show but there were a handful who did end up walking down the aisle.

Ballet dancer Colleen Reed and charter sales executive Matt Bolton caught each other’s ears while they were in the dating pods.

So much so, that Matt got down on one knee and she gleefully accepted the proposal.

Plenty of drama followed the pair once they met as Cole Barnett, who Colleen had dated in the pods, was still flirting with her and there were rows between the couple as a result.

Despite their issues, both Colleen and Matt said “I do” when it came to their wedding day, leaving Netflix viewers stunned.

Heart Bingo’s relationship expert and co-founder of So Syncd Louella Alderson has admitted she doesn’t think the Love is Blind stars are going to last as a married couple.

In fact, she told Express.co.uk how there were “red flags” in their romance from the get-go.

“Matt and Colleen saying yes at the altar was one of the most shocking outcomes of Love Is Blind season three”, she said.

“This relationship has seemed a bit off since the start and there have been a couple of red flags.

“Colleen said early in the pods to Cole that she didn’t want to get deep or emotional with anyone in a relationship or talk about serious things. It’s OK not to want to do this all the time.

“However, being vulnerable is essential for building connection and intimacy. Life is full of ups and downs, and you need to be able to speak to your partner about things. Being positive and happy all the time just isn’t realistic.

But it wasn’t just Colleen who Louella doesn’t believe is ready for marriage.

She continued: “From Matt’s side, it’s evident that he has trust issues. He has clearly been hurt during his previous engagement to his high school sweetheart and it doesn’t feel like he is ready for marriage.

“Matt’s main issue is jealousy. He wasn’t happy that Colleen went out with the girls, and he didn’t like that Cole fancied her.

“Matt was also quick to pack his bag at the first sign of conflict. It felt like he had some healing to do before jumping into marriage.”

Giving fans an update on their relationship at the Love is Blind reunion show, Colleen and Matt revealed they were still an item.

They weren’t living together but this was because they already had roommates and leases prior to filming the series.

This won’t keep them apart forever though as they were planning on moving in together in a matter of months.

Until then, Colleen and Matt confirmed they were spending almost every day together before they are able to make the move.

There is no need to be concerned regarding the reality show’s future, thankfully.

Netflix confirmed back in March 2022 that there would be a fourth season on the way.

What’s even more exciting is that filming has already been completed on the new episodes so subscribers can expect its return sometime next year.

Love is Blind is available to watch on Netflix.
