Love Island boys get emotional as they write their speeches ahead of show final

Love Island's couples are gearing up for the live final as the day has finally arrived for one lucky pair to be crowned the winners of this year's winter series.

In the first look for tonight's final, the boys get emotional as their once-in-a-lifetime experience finally comes to an end.

There will be a swanky ceremony-style final party for the remaining four couples – which consists of Shaq Muhammad, 24, and Tanya Manhenga, 23, Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins, both 25, Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, both 24, and Tom Clare, 23, and Samie Elishi, 22.

And the couples will share their loved-up declarations as they prepare for the speeches.

Amongst the final moments, the finalists will enjoy one last party in the villa complete with drinks and dancing, as the series bows out with a series of poignant goodbyes.

The first look shows all the boys getting suited and booted as they get ready for the special party with their ladies.

“Deep breaths boys," Shaq encourages the rest of the lads, as the emotional group gear up for the arrival of all the girls.

Tanya, Samie, Sanam and Lana all look incredible as they arrive in stunning ball gowns following a relaxing day at the spa.

Raising a toast to his fellow finalists, Tom toasts the end of an era as he says: “So guys, we’ve had an amazing run, an amazing journey, we are all here in the final.

"I love you guys to bits!”

Earlier on in the day, the groups prepared and practiced their speeches, and it seems the girls will be in for a treat as the boys lay their hearts out on the line.

“My time here has been a dream since I met you," Kai begins in his speech.

"Sanam, you’re one of a kind and I’m so happy to have you in my life because I adore you and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us.”

Ron then opens up after deciding he wanted to say something completely new he'd never expressed to Lana before, as he gushes over his first ever girlfriend.

"You’re an angel that never puts a foot wrong and you tick every single box," the Essex footballer tells her. "When I look at you, I feel whole, like my life is complete.”

Tom shares something big with Samie, and Shaq talks about his excitement for the future, as he declares to Tanya: “I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us because no doubt it’s a bright future ahead.

"I guess what I’m trying to say is, Tan, I love you," the finalist adds.

Love Island comes to an end with the live final at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
