Love Island fans in disbelief as Lana calls Casey an underhorse in word mix-up
Love Island fans were left in disbelief on Wednesday night’s episode of the popular ITV2 dating show, after makeup artist Lana Jenkins made a ridiculous gaffe in which she confused the term “under dog” with “under horse.”
Following the results of the heart rate challenge, the girls had assembled to see how everyone was feeling the following day, with new bombshell Claudia Fogarty asking her fellow girls: “How was last night for everybody?”
Clearly still hot under the collar from the steamy performances, Lana then replied: “The boys were insane.”
Before Ellie Spence commented: “I think Shaq was good, Will was good, I feel like we have to give Casey a bit of props because he came with such energy.”
Olivia Hawkins agreed adding: “Casey was an underdog”
It was only then that Lana naively commented: “Isn’t it an under horse?”
As her fellow Islanders laughed, Ellie commented: “No babes” before Olivia teased off camera: “What horse are you under? Are you joking?”
Fans at home couldn’t quite believe what they were seeing either, with many taking to social media to poke fun at the star for her adorable gaffe.
“With peace and love, what the f**k is an underhorse?” questioned one fan.
Another agreed adding: “Talk about a blonde moment. Lana girl, what the hell?”
A third also weighed in as they cheekily commented: “I wonder if Ron has been the underhorse of this season.”
While a fourth couldn’t help but give credit to Olivia where it was due for her quick retort, as they added: “What horse are you under? I think it’s the funniest thing Olivia has ever said.”
There was even a parallel to her blossoming relationship with Ron drawn by one fan, as they pointe out his gaffe earlier this season when he mistakenly thought oat milk came from cows.
“Lana and Ron are made for each other then. From her thinking an underdog is under-horse and him thinking an oat milk is just normal cow milk,” they wrote.
The conversation came just hours after the first signs of trouble in paradise emerged for reunited lovers Ron and Lana, after Ron’s heart rate skyrocketed during the heart rate challenge, for newcomer Claudia – and not the girl he had professed his love for just mere hours before.
Lana too was also in hot water after her own heart rate failed to peak with Ron’s saucy performance, and instead climbed thanks to her ex Casey O’Gorman, despite having dumped him on the same day as the challenge.
