Love Island fans ‘rumble’ real reason Mehdi pursued Leah

Love Island fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the real reason that Mehdi chose to pursue Leah.

Fans of the show think that the reason for Mehdi’s strange behaviour is linked to the theory around the ‘cursed’ yellow bean bags.

It was revealed that during unseen bits of the show, Leah had sat on the yellow beanbag, which many fans believe is cursed, resulting in Mehdi choosing to talk to Leah, causing drama between the islanders.

Fans were quick to take to social media to point out the moment, with one writing: “Leah on the yellow bean bag #LoveIsland”

Another added: “leah sat on the yellow beanbag… maybe that explains mehdi’s random drama over her #loveisland”.

It comes after Love Island fans were left baffled during Thursday’s episode when Mehdi Edno said that he wanted to get to know Leah Taylor better.

Model Mehdi, 26, had been happily coupled up with Whitney Abebayo, 25, with the pair even sharing a kiss in recent days.

However, in a shocking turn of events on Thursday, Mehdi pulled Leah, 27, for a chat and revealed that he wanted to get to know her better, leaving the business owner completely surprised.

Following his revelation to Leah, Mehdi told Whitney what he intended to do – getting to know Leah better.

It wasn’t just Leah who was baffled, Love Island fans couldn’t believe what they were seeing, quickly taking to social media to share their shock.

One posted: "Mehdi did this for nothing cause Leah don’t even like him it’s peak”.

While another said: “Mehdi going for Mal would have been more believable.”

And a third added: “You want to get to know Leah, Mehdi? But does she want to get to know YOUU???”

It was only recently that the yellow bean bag theory struck islander Molly Marsh, before she left the show.

Molly, 21, found herself caught up in a love triangle with partner Mitchel Taylor and bombshell Zachariah Noble, who was originally partnered with Catherine Agbaje.

On Monday Mitchel, 26, declared that he no longer wanted to speak to Molly after she spent "hours" speaking to Zachariah, 25.

After spending an evening in silence, the next morning, Molly decided to clear the air as she pulled Mitchel for a chat on the beanbags.

Viewers were quick to react to the scenes as one person tweeted: "MOLLY SAT ON THE YELLOW BEAN BAG!?!?!?!? WHAT!??!!?? #LoveIsland."

A different account put: "The curse of the yellow beanbag #loveisland."

Another viewer wrote: "Molly sat on a yellow beanbag, everything makes sense! #LoveIsland."

While a different fan added: "The yellow beanbag strikes again…… #LOVEISLAND."

Molly, who had been partnered with Zach, was subsequently dumped from the villa on Friday after Kady chose Zach as her partner.
