Love Island fans spot ‘connection’ between Dami and Paige during racy challenge

Love Island 2022 is almost at an end, and despite Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope, and Paige Thorne and Adam Collard, being coupled up, there has been plenty of focus on the close friendship between Dami and Paige.

After Tuesday night's episode of the show, fans of the hit ITV2 show are once again convinced of a 'connection' between the pair during the "Mile High" challenge.

The girls were tasked with coming out of a model plane, slipping down a slide and then 'buckling the boys in for the flight', before showering themselves in champagne and then 'joining the mile high club'.

Paige, 23, got up close and personal with Dami, 26, who looked excited, as his partner Indiyah, 23, looked visibly annoyed as she watched on with eagle eyes and gave him a slightly awkward thumbs up.

Fans took to Twitter to voice their opinions on the connection between Paige and Dami, with one person writing: "Indiyah’s reaction to Paige buckle up Dami [eye emojis] tell me there’s nothing there".

Someone else tweeted: "I think after that challenge, indiyah has finally clocked on to the fact that Dami reaaaally fancies Paige".

Another person wrote: "J me who thinks Paige has something for dami? She’s always trying to get close to dami, it can’t just be me who sees it."

Yet another person tweeted: "Whens Indiyah going to admit she doesnt trust this Dami Paige friendship? Her face when Paige was buckling up Dami".

Later on, after the challenge had finished, Dami discussed it with the other boys, telling them about Indiyah putting her thumbs up at him.

Dami and Paige are known for their very close friendship, with Dami often being Paige's shoulder to cry on or person to talk to during their time in the villa.

Elsewhere on last night's episode of Love Island, tensions arose between Luca Bish, 23, and Gemma Owen, 19, after he was fuming when she licked Adam's chest during the challenge.

As the girls discussed the challenge around the fire pit, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, 27, said to Gemma: "Was it me or was I seeing that Luca was being a bit weird like when you were doing your challenge?"

Gemma said: "It's really not that deep, but if he's going to be a p***k over it then he can do one!"

Gemma later confronted Luca as she said: "You can sit here and say that you're not in a mood… you're in a mood…"

With Luca insisting: "No, I'm not in a mood!" Gemma responded: "Luca, don't play thick! You were pushing me off, had a face like a slapped a**e, are you 12?!"

After their argument, Luca stormed off, removed his microphone and left the villa where he sat outside to cool down for a few minutes.
