Love Island Paige floors fans with remark about Dami amid romance rumours

Love Island fans were left stunned when Paige Thorne made a subtle comment to her mum and dad on last nights episode.

It was the annual meet the parents segment, where each islanders parents come on the show to see them and meet their partners.

Paige spoke with her mum and dad about her time in the Love Island villa, where Paige's dad admitted he hasn't been watching her on the show and her mum told her that she 'wasn't buying' her relationship with Adam Collard.

However it was Paige's comment about fellow star Dami Hope that left viewers open mouthed,

As she sat down with her parents Paige asked them if they had seen “her and Dami together”, before she mentioned Adam.

There has been weeks of rumours about Paige and Dami's friendship and the comment only caused more speculation.

One fans took to Twitter: : “Have you seen me and Dami together ????? Paige hunny buns why is the the first question you’ve asked.”

A second said: "Why did Paige mention Dami to her parents before Adam???”

A third commented: “Nah I still can’t get over how Paige mentioned Dami before Adam.”

While a forth said: "“Paige’s mum not feeling Adam, the conversation between the two families being so dry, and Paige mentioning Dami. This is all so awkward…”

A fellow viewer wrote: "“One of the first things Paige asked her parents was about Dami before she asked about Adam. She’s so obsessed man.”

While another penned: "The obsession Paige has with Dami has to be studied and I’m being so serious!”

Fans were also shocked that Paige's mum made it clear she doesn’t approve of her new partner as she confessed that she wasn’t convinced the pair were truly in love.

As the trio sat down together, Paige excitedly asked: "So, what do you think of Adam?"

As her mother looked her in the eyes, there was a heated silence between the two before she sheepishly whispered: "I'm not buying it."

She added: "The way you are with Jacques it was a completely different you, you were a lot more you, and bouncy and full of life and personality.

"With Adam it just seems a lot different than with Jacques."

It was at this point that Paige explained her decision to match up with Adam and how he made her feel during their time together.

The brunette beauty explained: "Yeah he did bring out a different side in me like bubbly and laughing and all that but there was some bits that really were not okay.

"With Adam, he's just so much more chilled out and down to earth and everything else that we literally just got on since day one."

Later in the show Paige and Adam were brutally dumped form the island ahead of tonight's final.
