Love Island Paige’s parents ‘not buying relationship with Adam over Jacques

Love Island Paige Thorne’s mum confessed she “didn’t buy” the paramedic’s relationship with Adam Collard.

During Sunday’s (July 31) instalment of the hugely popular ITV2 dating series, the Welsh beauty welcomed her mum and dad into the stunning Spanish villa to meet the TV alumni.

Before the Newcastle hunk returned to the show, Paige was coupled up with Jacques O’Neill who she dated for several weeks before he left the villa online.

And it appears as though her mum doesn’t approve of her new partner as she confessed that she wasn’t convinced the pair were truly in love.

As the trio sat down together, Paige excitedly asked: "So, what do you think of Adam?"

As her mother looked her in the eyes, there was a heated silence between the two before she sheepishly whispered: "I'm not buying it."

She added: "The way you are with Jacques it was a completely different you, you were a lot more you, and bouncy and full of life and personality.

"With Adam it just seems a lot different than with Jacques."

It was at this point that Paige explained her decision to match up with Adam and how he made her feel during their time together.

The brunette beauty explained: "Yeah he did bring out a different side in me like bubbly and laughing and all that but there was some bits that really were not okay.

"With Adam, he's just so much more chilled out and down to earth and everything else that we literally just got on since day one."

It was at this point that her mum asked: "Do you know who he is?" referring to his previous experience on the show back in 2016.

Paige admitted: "Well all the girls knew, I literally had zero idea. Nobody's ever actually met him. I mean we can't all have these preconceptions on people so I've made my own mind up.

"And from what he's shown me and how he is in here, he's just a completely different person to apparently what you see in him.
