Love Island viewers brand show ‘fix’ as Mitchel escapes bottom three

Love Island previews teases tears and new revelations

On Thursday night the public was asked to vote for their favourite boy and girl islanders, with the bottom two being dumped from the island.

They were less than impressed when Charlotte Sumner, Catherine Agbaje, Leah Taylor, Sammy Root, Zachariah Noble and Andre Furtado were all in the bottom three votes.

It was down to their fellow islanders for them to decide which boy and girl they wanted to dump from the island but viewers were left fuming.

Fans of the show took to their Twitter accounts to express their confusion over Mitchel Taylor and Molly Marsh escaping the bottom three.

@JanetJSource commented: “Okay so it’s confirmed the voting is rigged gp does not like Mitch so why is he sat down #loveisland.” (Sic)

@aishaayom expressed: “This is 100% rigged, no way Catherine is in the bottom 3.. #loveisland.”

@Trey_Valentino said: “Either they’re calling out Mitch’s name with the girls or they didn’t count properly because what??! #LoveIsland.”

@_sxph6 exclaimed: “It’s actually bulls***t Catherine over Molly it’s a fix #LoveIsland.”

@JahnikahG49000 added: “Hell no!! This is a fix because Catherine can not be in the bottom, no way #LoveIsland.”

@krystlew123 penned: “This line up is a fix!!! Don’t believe it for one second!”

@shannie90 wrote: “Mitch not in the bottom 3.. issa fix #loveIsland.” (sic)

Unfortunately, it was Andre and Charlotte who were dumped from the island after failing to find a strong connection with anyone.

Speaking to ITV after being dumped, Andre said: “It was a real shocker for me. Of course we know the saying ‘expect the unexpected’ has to be in our heads in the Villa, but we get caught up in just living in the moment day-to-day.

“When I came to the understanding I was among the vulnerable Islanders it wasn’t the best feeling.

“Catherine was also among the most vulnerable Islanders and in my mind I was thinking, ‘I definitely don’t want this to be the end of her experience, let alone mine as well’.”

Charlotte added: “It wasn’t a shock I got chosen to leave. I didn’t think the girls would send Catherine home because she was ‘day dot’.

“I knew it would be between me and Leah, so I thought they’d save Leah because she had more of a connection. I have no hard feelings at all. I had the best time and I’m so grateful.”
