FANS of The Dog House were reduced to tears as a boy who was scared sleepless for his deaf parents bonded with a pup.

The Channel 4 series sees dogs looking for a new home matched with loving owners.


During the latest episode viewers were introduced to deaf parents Hannah and Craig.

The couple who have two sons, Oliver and Felix, were looking to find them the perfect dog.

The family arrived at Woodgreen Pets Charity, in Cambridgeshire, as they met the team.

Hannah and Craig revealed how their eldest son Oliver wanted a dog to be a "protector" for them both.

It then emerged how the youngster struggled to sleep at night as he worried for his mum and dad.

"I think a dog would make me fall asleep straight away as I'd feel like I'd have that protection," he revealed.

He said how sometimes he would go into his brother Felix's room to help him doze off.

The staff then introduced Oliver to a cockapoo puppy called Percy, who was abandoned at 11 weeks old.

As Oliver and Felix met Percy the pooch it appeared to be love at first sight.

Craig and Hannah were happy to welcome the kanine into the family.

Their story had viewers at home as they took to social media to share their reaction to the scenes.

"#Thedoghouse. So beautiful. Tonight was the best episode of The Dog House," said one viewer.

Another commented: "I can’t even watch The Dog House why am I already crying! I love this family."

"#TheDogHouse is such a lovely show; a beautiful story about the deaf parents and their new puppy; and I’m not a dog person," said a third.

While a fourth posted: "I'm crying already lol, I’m pathetic #thedoghouse."
