Love Island’s Amber Gill breaks silence on her sexuality after saying she’s ‘done with men’ | The Sun

FORMER Love Island star Amber Gill has broken her silence on her sexuality after saying she's done with men.

The ITV2 dating show contestant – who rose to fame in 2019 when she won alongside Greg O'Shea – addressed tweets she made this week saying she would "never date a man again".

Reacting to Love Island scenes, Amber, 24, took to Twitter to joke that "switching teams" was the best decision she's ever made.

Fans went wild as the star fumed that men "made her feel ill" as she explained she "wouldn't put herself through" it with another man.

Now, the former Islander has broken her silence – insisting she will "say what she wants to say" when she feels "ready".

Responding to speculation about her sexuality on Johnny Seifert's podcast Secure The Insecure, Amber admitted she felt "anxiety" about opening up and putting a label on her preferences.

Amber insisted that she would "say what she wanted to say" about her sexuality when she feels "ready to say it".

In a podcast clip exclusively obtained by The Sun Online, Amber settled the debate: "I'll say what I want to say when I'm ready.

"There's no need to speculate, we can all see what I'm saying. When I'm ready to say what I want to say, then I will."

"I don't feel like I want to say anything whilst I'm single," Amber went on, as she encouraged her fans not to "put her in a box".

"All this speculation makes it harder for people to want to say how they really feel and talk about their sexuality," Amber added.

She joked she will never go back to dating men as she said they "make her feel ill" – after revealing she was open to dating women last year.

"Switching teams was the best decision I made in my life," she said. "Watching men makes me feel ill. I couldn't put myself through it again."

One of Amber's fans replied, writing: "Me and my girlfriend were saying just yesterday that we predict you'll end up settling down with a woman."

Amber quickly responded: "That's cute. Tell me why."

The fan tweeted back: "Because you seem to be very disenchanted by men these days, and we feel like a woman (the right woman) is more likely to appreciate you for all your complexities and inner fire and treat you with the level of care/sensitivity that you deserve."

Clearly touched by the message, Amber concluded: "Now I'm crying."

Aside from Love Island's Greg, 27, the star also briefly dated footballing star Jack Grealish last year, and ex-con Rory Coljoun.

But, Amber previously revealed that she was open to dating women as she told her fans that she was "sometimes" attracted to them.
