Winter Love Island star Ron Hall has confessed that his "dodgy eye" is his best feature – and it's bound to score him the affection of some girls in the South African villa.

Ron will enter the ITV2 show as the first ever partially sighted contestant, after Tasha Ghouri made history last year as the show's first deaf star.

Ron suffered a gruesome football accident when he was just eight years old. While going in for a header, he was kicked in the face and lost sight in one eye.

But he says it hasn't "hindered me in any shape or form".

And speaking to Daily Star and other press ahead of his villa stint, Ron confessed that he expects plenty of girls will be drawn to his unusual peepers.

He said: "My best feature… normally my eyes. I always say it's got to be my eyes because they're two different colours.

"I know everyone says about disability and I guess there are all those sorts of things, but I would definitely say my eyes [are my best feature].

"My buzz cut also seems to be a game changer. I've had that for the last couple of years and it has just changed the game."

Ron confessed that he can't wait to get his kit off when it comes to the scorching sun.

He shared: "I’ve always enjoyed the gym and fitness, I’ve been going to the gym for three or four years now on and off, going through the cycles.

"I trained for a boxing fight from October to November, which was very strict in terms of diet and things. I got down to like a really low weight – which I probably wouldn’t normally do. But I looked bloody good, without sounding too cocky about it!

"The problem is I looked quite small. So since then I’ve been eating a bit more. I’m not too fussed whether I come in completely lean, with seven percent body fat or whether I come in at 15.

"I’m happy no matter what I look like. Obviously it helps with some girls if you’ve got a couple of abs. I’m more than happy getting my kit off. It’s a holiday – I wanna get my kit off and get a tan!"
