LOVE Island's Gemma Owen and Luca Bish are "closer than ever" and "don't feel the need to ham it up" – after Paige Thorne hinted they were faking it.
A source close to the duo told how the showmance claims "certainly" weren't about the dressage star, 19, and former fishmonger, 23, after paramedic Paige, 24, stirred the pot.
She stayed coy as she took a swipe at one set of show finalists, who she branded "fake."
She was on the Saving Grace podcast and was asked by host and TikTok star Grace Keeling: "Who is the fakest couple?"
Paige had the option of drinking a shot to avoid answering Grace, but instead she spilled the tea.
The 24-year-old coyly replied: "All I’m going to say is, there are how many couples left, three? Really there are only two."

Four couples including Gemma Owen and Luca Bish, Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack, and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti are supposedly still in relationships.
Gemma previously told how she was "working on" her long-distance relationship with Luca.
Yet a source has now told The Mirror they are not at the heart of split claims.
They said: "There is lots of talk and rumours about a showmance amongst this year's contestants but it certainly isn't Luca and Gemma that everyone is talking about.

"Luca and Gemma are closer than ever, they don't feel the need to ham it up on social media every day.
"Both have lots going on but they're staying together most nights and when they do have to be apart, they are constantly on the phone with each other."
Meanwhile, Gemma has hit back after Paige appeared to snub her.
Paige 'snubbed' Gemma in an Instagram live Q&A where she was asked by a fan who she was still in touch with from the villa.
In a recent Q&A on her YouTube channel, Gemma opened up about how life has been treating her since her stint in the ITV2 villa.
Fans were desperate to know who her favourite people from the show are.
Gemma said: "Out of the girls, all of the girls I was in the final with I was close with, I got on with Tash and Ekin, all of the girls really.
