Love Island’s Jay and Ekin-Su were doomed to fail as she ‘lovebombed him’

Love Island couple Jay Younger and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu hit the rocks during last night's episode (June 23), but this didn't come as a surprise to relationship expert Alex Mellor-Brook.

Watching the couple over the last few weeks, Alex, who is a dating expert for online dating service Select Personal Introductions, deterred that the downfall of their relationship was because of how their relationship began.

After Jay's arrival on June 14, the Turkish-born actress set her sights on the Scottish hunk, with the pair causing a stir after having secret meetings on the terrace.

Ekin-Su chose to couple up with Jay in the next recoupling and recently admitted she'd "caught feelings," for the investment analyst.

However, things well and truly went south for the couple last night after Jay informed the bombshell that he was interested in getting to know Paige.

Internationally certified matchmaker Alex believes the demise of their relationship was because Ekin-Su "lovebombed" Jay at the beginning and he "fell for it."

In an exclusive chat with Daily Star, Alex explained: "If you think about what happened when they were sneaking onto the balcony, you're sneaking around because you're doing something you shouldn't do."

"It adds a sense of excitement and intrigue, but it moved so fast," he added.

"She loved bombed him big time and he fell for it."

"But now that kind of thing has calmed down, he's looking at the other things now," the relationship coach theorized.

Speaking about Jay's vying affections for welsh beauty Paige, Alex explained that he was still in the process of trying to get to know Ekin-Su which is why he was open to other options.

He said: "I don't think anything's going to happen with Paige, but it just goes to show he's still in the stage where he's trying to get to know Ekin-Su because he's open to getting to know someone else that he likes and is attracted to."

The drama unfolded last night and it seems the pair's relationship is over after Ekin-Su labelled Jay an actor and accused him of playing a "massive game."
