Love Islands Luca Bishs family issue statement after hes accused of pushing Gemma

Luca Bish's family have released statement after fans accused him of pushing Gemma Owen in last night's episode, Tuesday 26 July, of Love Island.

The ladies in the villa were competing in the dancing challenge and had to pretend to be air hostesses while making sure the boys were strapped up in their seats.

However when it was Gemma's turn, the fishmonger wasn't too pleased to see her lick Adam Collard. This resulted in Luca moving her away from him when it was his turn to be strapped.

Taking to his Instagram page, Luca's family came to Luca's defence to say that the villa causes heightened emotions and that they're proud Luca expressed how he felt.

They wrote: "9/10 weeks of no contact with any family and friends. It's a crazy intense environment where emotions are heightened.

"Learning to have disagreements and resolve them it is part of all successful relationships. Society preaches for men to not bottle things up and to open up??? So proud of how vulnerable and in touch with his emotions he's been. Nothing but real."

The family added: "First to admit it he's being a little f**k, but really don't feel he's wrong here at all. Would do anything to hug him."

Speaking to Luca about his reaction, Gemma said: "You can sit here and say you're not in a mood, you are in a mood.

"When I came up to you in the challenge, you pushed me off, to which he replied that it was "just banter".

Luca then stormed away from the conversation, taking his mic off and leaving the villa.

The two went on to have another conversation on the terrace, where Luca explained that he was upset to see her in the challenge, but was annoyed that she brought it up later as he was ready to get over it and move on.

Taking to Twitter, many fans weren't too impressed with the situation.

One person said: "Luca is so infuriating , so it’s okay for him to push Gemma off him in the challenge but not okay for her to bring it up because ‘he’s over it’ #loveisland."

A second wrote: "@LoveIsland absolutely disgusted watching Luca push Gemma and then yet again try to make her feel she’s done something wrong ! Not comfortable viewing tbh :(."

"Think Luca forgot this is Love Island Gemma has to do challenges & you expect them to put effort into being “sexy” like the girls are expected to be," another said. "She said she had to hype herself for that & for him to push her away is just savage. All the girls did the same show #LoveIsland."
