Love Island’s Millie Court reveals she’s in therapy after Liam Reardon split | The Sun

LOVE Island's Millie Court has opened up about having therapy as she told fans how it has helped her.

The 26-year-old shot to fame last year on the seventh series of the ITV2 dating show.

Millie won alongside ex-boyfriend Liam Reardon, 23, and went from strength to strength outside of the villa.

But the pair shocked fans when they announced they had split in July last year.

Since then the star has been working on herself as she has started going to the gym and having therapy sessions via the counselling directory.

Millie told her 1.9m followers on Instagram: "I had my first session before Christmas and just that one hour opened upso much to me.

"Cliche as it might sounds but I'm solely focusing on my career as we've entered a new year and I can't wait to treat my body and mind the way it deserves.

"Loving myself comes first."

She later shared what steps she took to start the process.

Millie said: "A lot of you asking in my dms about therapy… not knowing where to start or how to look etc.

"I used the website below, you in in your postcode and whether you want it in person or over the phone.

"It then shows you a list of counsellors in your area and a little bit about them/what they charge/what they specialise in.

"Don't be afraid to take that step in speaking to someone, whether it's big or small.

"You can then arrange a quick 15 minute phone call with your favourites on the list and see who you get the best vibe with/feel the most comfortable (or as comfortable as you possibly can).

"I'm not the type to open up and speak about how I'm feeling and I don't like to burden people with my problems either (friends or family) so of course I didn't feel that comfortable talking to her at first but just after one session I honestly felt so much better so I'm really looking forward to the next."

Millie and Liam met in the iconic villa last year.

The former couple had a pretty smooth ride until Casa Amor hit, and the former bricklayer decided to see if he had a connection with any of the bombshells.

Although he grew close to Lillie Haynes, 23, Millie forgave him and they ended up being crowned winners of Love Island 2021.

Shortly after they returned to the UK, they moved into an incredible Essex mansion and went from strength to strength.

But in around April last year, split rumours started to circulate.

Despite the gossip, they enjoyed a romantic getaway to Paris and later shared adorable snaps from their holiday to Algarve, Portugal.

However weeks later they announced they had split just one year after leaving the villa.

Millie has been living her best life ever since, enjoying multiple holidays with best pals Chloe Burrows, 26, and Lucinda Strafford, 22.
