LOVE Island's Paige Thorne slammed show producers for "banning her from speaking to" Jay Younger and painting her as "mean".
The ITV2 dating show star – who rose to fame this summer – opened up about her experience on the Saving Grace Podcast.
Paige, 24, who recently split from her on-screen beau Adam Collard, said that she wanted to get to know Jay, 28, but was barred.
She told podcast maker Grace that after things went sour with Jacques O'Neill – she spent time looking to find a new partner.
After confirming she's single, Paige explained that she thought Paige was a "lush guy" – and thought he was "her type to a T".
"When Jay came in, I thought he was my type to a T," Paige said. "Then I wasn't allowed to speak to him, we were kept apart."

"Was that when he was speaking to Ekin?" Grace asked, to which Paige replied: "Yes, and I was getting to know Jacques. Me and Jay weren't allowed to get to know.
"You know how some shows have a warning like, 'This show has been enhanced for your entertainment', it should probably come with that warning to be honest."
She later hit out about the way she was portrayed by the edit of the show, insisting she was shown as being "mean".
"At first I was portrayed to be this really sweet, innocent pitiful Paige – she's heartbroken and going to get her feelings hurt," she said.
"Then towards the end I was portrayed as this mean girl that just didn't care – I'm not one of the other. I'm in the middle."
It comes after Paige revealed she has been in touch with ex Jacques O'Neill after splitting from Adam Collard.
The Love Island star has said: "There has been slight contact, not contact of the lips. Let's not forget how this boy done me in Casa. You don’t get this again.
"Obviously we had a vibe in there. But we’re just going to see where things go. I’m in zero rush to be with any other men in my life because men are trash …
"I’m single – living my best life. No I’m kidding, it’s been a really s**t time."
Paige and Jacques' relationship became strained after it was revealed he kissed Cheyanne Kerr while she was away in rival villa Casa Amor.

Jacques spent a number of days attempting to win Paige back beforeleaving the villa as he needed to "get back to himself".
Before deciding to leave the show, he came close to having a physical argument with new bombshell Adam Collard who wanted to pursue Paige.
