MAFS viewers praise Adrian for blowing up at Matt and Whitney after being dumped

Married At First Sight fans have rushed to share their ‘respect’ for Adrian Sanderson after he stormed out following a clash with Matt Murray and Whitney Hughes minutes after ending his relationship.

During the latest episode of the E4 reality show, the couples all took part in their final dinner party of the experiment.

Midway through the meal, Adrian and Thomas Hartley went for a private chat, which is when Thomas told him that he thought it would be best for them to call time on their marriage.

‘You mean the world to me. But just because we love each other doesn’t mean we’re supposed to be together,’ Thomas said, as Adrian burst into tears.

When they returned to the dinner party, Thomas stood up with Adrian and announced their decision to the group… but not everyone was supportive.

Whitney and Matt – who got together after ending their marriage with their respective partners Duka and Gemma – scoffed at their fellow couple… and the tension didn’t end there.

Later on, April and George were asked to choose who they thought was the fakest couple at the table, as they admitted that they chose Adrian and Tom as their answer.

April added that their reason was in part due to Matt calling them fake in the last commitment ceremony.

So, Adrian decided to address Matt’s previous remarks about him and Tom, saying that ‘your opinion means nothing to me’ while calling out how Matt dumped his wife Gemma for Whitney.

The verbal altercation became increasingly heated, as Matt said to Adrian: ‘Who the f**k do you think you are? You’re a f**king joke!’

In another cutting dig at Matt’s failure to make his relationship with Gemma work, Adrian said to him: ‘If there’s any person in this world who’s going to tell me I didn’t work my a**e off at this marriage, it most certainly will not be someone who didn’t give his a day!’

As he stood up before making his exit, Adrian added: ‘My relationship has been on the table for everyone to see. If I was faking a relationship, it would have been a good one!’

‘Who put 2p in his f**king box?!’ Whitney quipped incredulously.

Adrian then directed his fury at Whitney, expressing how much he’s previously respected her but felt she’d not shown him respect in exchange.

‘So actually you’re done – f**k off Whitney!’ he said before storming out.

Several viewers praised Adrian for taking a stand, with one tweeting: ‘Respect to Adrian!’

‘Adrian is the boss of series 2022!’ someone else said, while another added: ‘Adrian is, without a doubt, the best person I’ve watched on TV a for a very long time. Absolutely L-O-V-E him.’

‘In a world of Matts and Whitney’s… be an Adrian. Love that man,’ one person wrote, as another chimed in to say: ‘Adrian finding his voice when he no longer needed to bite his tongue or be diplomatic was the finale twist we all needed. Don’t bother with the commitments, just leave it with Adrian dropping his mic and walking out.’
