ITV REALLY is the gift that keeps on giving when it comes to top drama.
They are now bringing us medical thriller Malpractice which is set to have viewers on the edge of their seats.
Who is in the cast of Malpractice?
Niamh Algar as Dr Lucinda Edwards
Actress Niamh Algar leads the cast as Dr Lucinda Edwards, who is caught up in a malpractice case.
The talented star is known for Suspect, and Raised By Wolves.
Speaking about her character in Malpractice, she told ITV: "Lucinda is a registrar at the West Yorkshire Royal Hospital working in the A&E department.
"Having been on the frontline during the pandemic.

"She finds herself at the centre of a malpractice case after a young lady is brought into A&E after a drugs overdose and subsequently dies.
"As the story develops, we learn more about Lucinda and her life.
"Working in a very hectic environment that she normally thrives on.
"And she has to deal with the repercussions of what happened that night."

James Purefoy as Dr Leo Harris
James Purefoy plays Lucinda's medical supervisor, Dr Leo Harris.
The actor is also known for Netflix's Sex Education, and the movie Fisherman's Friends..
Speaking about why he wanted to star in Malpractice, he told ITV: "There were two things that drew me to the project initially: one was that the script was just dynamite.
"It was very well written; and clearly done by someone who had real experience of a hospital, of the medical profession, of procedure and what it's like to work in a high-pressure A&E situation.
"Secondly, I was a big fan of Boiling Point, Philip Barantini’s film, which is incredibly impressive."
Brian Bovell as Sir Anthony Owusu
Brian Bovell plays the grieving father of the woman who dies at the hospital.
The actor is a well known face in TV and film, and has had a career that spans four decades.
He is best known for the movies Secrets and Lies, and Love Actually.
Helen Behan as Dr Norma Callahan
Actress Helen Behan's character is leading the investigation into the alleged malpractice.
The actress revealed that she actually once had a medical career, telling ITV: "I qualified as a nurse back in the day and still work as one part time between acting jobs.
"Once a nurse always a nurse. There was no accessible drama where I grew up in Ireland so I became a nurse."
The star's other acting credits include This Is England '88, and The Virtues

Where was Malpractice filmed?
Malpractice was filmed in Shipley in West Yorkshire.
In the summer of 2022 the former Shipley tax office was transformed into a hospital.
According to local paper The Telegraph and Argus, a red Accident and Emergency sign was spotted on the front of the disused building.
Shipley Town Hall in Kirkgate was also used as a location to shoot scenes for the ITV medical drama, as was Bradford Council’s headquarters.
The paper also reported how a house in the Moorside Road area of Eccleshill was used as a filming location.
What is Malpractice about?
Dr Lucinda Edwards is a smart, battle-hardened doctor, but we meet her on a nightmare shift that ends in the death of an opioid overdose victim, Edith Owusu.
Despite the support of her medical supervisor, Dr Leo Harris, Edith’s grieving father, demands an inquiry into Lucinda’s actions on the fateful night.
Leading the medical investigation are Dr Norma Callahanand Lucinda’s former colleague, Dr George Adjei.
While George feels this was an unavoidable tragedy, Norma is suspicious of Lucinda’s behaviour and decisions in the lead up to the patient’s death.
As the pressure of the investigation intensifies, Lucinda’s relationship with husband Tom starts to fracture, and her confident professional exterior begins to crack. Is Lucinda hiding something?
What time is Malpractice on ITV?
Malpractice will kick off on ITV at 9pm on April 23, 2023, and continue on Sunday nights at the same time.

There are five episodes in total, with the season finale airing on May 21, 2023.
