Maria murdered in stabbing in Coronation Street as Max looks on?

Despite the fact Griff Reynolds (Michael Condron) is now in prison, that hasn’t stopped Max Turner (Paddy Bever) in Coronation Street from continuing to believe the racist and right-wing views the extremist leader made him absorb.

Griff left Weatherfield in the back of a police car a few weeks ago, which came after the gang planted a bomb in the Speed Daal van.

In the initial aftermath, it looked as though Griff had got away scot-free, but when Daryan (Twana Omer) overheard an argument between him and Max, he told David (Jack P Shepherd) and Alya (Sair Khan), who then called Spider (Martin Hancock) so he could arrest the vile man.

As David (Jack P Shepherd) works to de-radicalise Max, Gary (Mikey North) confides in Alya, telling her that while he’s proud of Maria’s work, he worries for her safety.

The next day, Daryan calls in the café with some flyers promoting the refugee drop-in session at Speed Daal.

He suggests to Max that he might like to join, but he’s disparaging and stalks out.

In the Platt household, while David prepares dinner, he’s completely oblivious to Max on his phone.

It becomes apparent that Max is listening to a video made by Blake – his old school bully.

Blake is outside Speed Daal delivering a racist rant and promising to put a stop to the drop-in session, and as he heads into the restaurant secretly filming himself, it’s very obvious the target is Maria.

Will Max tell anyone what Blake is up to?
