MAYA Jama celebrated her Love Island: Aftersun success by twerking in the corridors of ITV on Sunday night.

The 28-year-old host looked sensational in in a pink dress backstage as she wiggled her bum for fans on TikTok before bursting into laughter.


Maya had reason to celebrate after fans hailed her epic Aftersun debut "the best ever".

And it turned out that more viewers tuned in to the Love Island spin-off on Sunday than the main show thanks to the new host.

Early ratings showed Sunday night's main episode of the ITV2 dating show was watched by a peak 1.51million viewers.

But 1.82million tuned in to the spin-off which aired afterwards.

It is further proof the new host remains the franchise's biggest draw.

A TV source told The Sun: "Spinoffs are not meant to be the main event. Maya is the shot in the arm Love Island needs."

Maya hosted a live audience who and a panel of celebs to debate the drama in the first week of Winter Love Island 2023.

The panel was made up of Radio One Dj Jordan North, reality star Sam Thompson and ex Love Islander Indiyah Polack.

Indiyah's villa mates Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page also chatted to Maya from behind a bar stocked with booze.

And Tanyel Revan's mum and sister sat on the sofa to discuss the star's shock romance with Ron inside the villa.

Fans were blown away by Maya's entrance and her first Aftersun, taking to Twitter to rave about the show.

One screamed: "Okay this panel is everything and Maya is killing it!!!!!!!!!"

Another raved: "Already this aftersun is a hundred times better than every episode last season. It felt like nobody wanted to say it like it is. Indiyah and Maya are keeping it real and saying what we think, thank GOD."

Another said: "This after sun is already got me paying attention when usually I hear it as background noise. Must be Maya and Indiyah"

She took over from Iain Stirling's wife Laura Whitmore who announced she had quit back in August.
