THE Long-running ITV comedy-drama series Doc Martin is returning for its final season.

Here is all you need to know about who is in the cast of the tenth series.

Who is the cast of the final series of Doc Martin?

Martin Clunes plays Doctor Martin Ellingham

Of course Martin reprises his role as Dr. Martin Ellingham, but before the series, he was famous for many others.

Clunes is known for playing Gary in sitcom Men Behaving Badly, Sir Pitt Crawley in Vanity Fair, and DCI Colin Sutton in crime drama Manhunt.

He is also the voice of  Kipper the Dog in the animated series, Kipper.

Caroline Catz plays Louisa Ellingham

Caroline is back as the Doc's long-suffering wife

Caroline is an English film, television, theatre and radio actress.

She has starred in Doc Martin since the first series.

Her other roles have include Detective Inspector Kate Ashurst in Murder in Suburbia, Detective Inspector Helen Morton in DCI Banks, and PC Cheryl Hutchins in The Vice.

Dame Eileen Atkins plays Aunt Ruth

Dame Atkins is an English actress and occasional screenwriter.

She has worked in the theatre, film, and television consistently since 1953.

She is one of the most esteemed stars in show, having appeared in Gosford Park, Upstairs Downstairs and The House of Elliot.

Eileen joined Doc Martin in 2011.

Ian has played the hapless restaurant owner since the first series.

Ian found fame portraying government agent Harcourt in the 1985 television miniseries Edge of Darkness.

He has since starred in films such as The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls and Frank Herbert's Dune.

Joe Absolom plays Al

Joe shot to fame in the 90s plays Matthew Rose in EastEnders.

He has been in Doc Martin since the start.

He has also had roles in The Bill, Dangerfield and Silent Witness.

Joe is currently starring in A Confession

John Marquez plays PC Joe Penhale

John is an actor and a cinematographer.

He joined Doc Martin in 2007 as the hapless local bobby.

He has also had guest roles in Death In Paradise, Hotel Babylon and the reboot of Porridge.

Jessica Ransom plays Morwenna Newcross

Jessica joined Doc Martin in 2011.

She has starred in Horrible Histories. and played various characters in the sketch show The Armstrong and Miller Show.

Jessica also wrote an episode of Danger Mouse.

Selina Cadell plays Mrs Tishell

Selina has been in Doc Martin since the beginning playing the eccentric pharmacy owner who has a BIG crush on the Doc.

She is a well known comedy actress.

Selina has also starred in Jeeves and Wooster, The Catherine Tate Show and the Victoria Wood TV series.

What time Doc Martin on ITV?

The final season will begin airing on Wednesday, September 7, on ITV at 9pm.

There are eight episodes in the season and they will be released at the same time weekly.
