Meghan Markle defended by TalkTV host as Prince Harry travels to Balmoral alone
TalkTV’s Mike Graham has defended Meghan Markle’s alleged decision not to travel with her husband Prince Harry to Balmoral following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
On Thursday (September 8), Buckingham Palace announced the passing of Her Royal Highness at the age of 96 earlier this afternoon, just 18 months after the death of her husband Prince Phillip.
As the country mourned the loss of the longest reigning monarch in UK history, all eyes turned on the Royal Family as they fled to Aberdeenshire to following the devastating news.

While Vanessa Feltz and Mike discussed the breaking news on the global news channel, the pair discussed Meghan Markle ’s alleged decision not to travel to Scotland during this difficult time.
As viewers tuned in to watch Prince Harry arrive at Balmoral Castle, the pair discussed shared their thoughts on the mother-of-two's decision to remain at home.
Mike commented: “Prince William went alone because Kate decided to stay back and look after the children so maybe that was wise.
“I think a lot of people would have said perhaps it’s better that [Harry] goes alone.”
The broadcaster went on: “I think it’s now a very close-knit situation and I don’t know if you would see things in a different way if she was there.
“I’m no fan of Meghan, I know [Vanessa] you don’t feel exactly the way I feel about her but I don’t think you would want Meghan in a situation in that because you won’t know what she would say.”
It was at this point that Vanessa pointed out that Prince Harry would need the support of his loving wife after being a prominent female figure in his life after the death of his mother, Princess Diana.
She questioned: “Do you think so? Remember he’s lost his mother so the Queen you might say is the closest thing Prince William and Harry had to a mother, their grandmother with whom they were very close.
“You might think your husband might turn out to be very deeply grief stricken and it might unleash in him all kinds of feelings of bereavement that he experienced when he lost his mother that you might want to be with him.
“But I'm not judging her at all, I really am not. I don’t think anyone should, it might be a personal arrangement.”
Mike agreed: “They’re very clever at managing things, the Royal Family, and maybe because they did it when the Jubilee happened, Harry and Meghan weren’t part of the official celebrations they came to the church and left.
“It might be that they thought it’s better if she doesn’t come and that’s why Kate stayed behind as well to say, ‘It’s not just you, Kate is not coming either’.”
While most members of Queen Elizabeth II’s immediate family travelled to Balmoral, Scotland, Kate also remained at home with her and Prince William’s three children at their new family home Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.

The blonde broadcaster went on to ask if her co-host thought the Duchess of Cambridge would travel to Balmoral later in the day.
“Maybe even with the children because although they’re at school, this is their great-grandmother,” she argued.
