Stu is given a gutting setback over his quest to prove his innocence in Corrie

As the investigation into Stu Carpenter’s (Bill Fellows) time behind bars continues in Coronation Street, he’s finding it difficult to remain hopeful.

When Yasmeen (Shelley King), Alya (Sair Khan) and Zeedan (Qasim Akhtar) confirmed they were on Stu’s side, he was thrilled and knew the chance of proving his innocence was greater now he had people to help him.

For Alya and Zeedan, they’re finding wading through countless documents a huge challenge as they are looking for literally the tiniest piece of information that will help Stu.

Away from the case, business at Speed Daal is becoming another problem for the family, as they’re aware Stu’s reputation is impacting the amount of customers that come through the door.

In a bid to help, Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) tells Sean (Antony Cotton) to consider having his birthday party at the restaurant to show a bit of support.

Alya’s hope that the tide is turning doesn’t last long, however, as she joins Stu for a meeting with a solicitor who specialises in miscarriages of justice, but confirms the fee is a whopping £15k.

Stuck at a dead end, what will happen next?

If they can’t get the cash together, what will the family do to save Stu?
