The 41-year-old joined her sister Oti Mabuse, who was a professional dancer on the series from 2015 to 2021. Oti has since left Strictly Come Dancing to pursue other opportunities and has gone on to join the panel of The Masked Dancer and a judge on Dancing on Ice. Comparing the sisters, an expert has revealed Motsi, on the other hand, isn’t likely to be leaving the BBC show any time soon.

Celebrity psychic and body language expert Inbaal Honigman shared her thoughts on Motsi’s future in the show.

She explained: “The sisters have very different personalities, and each of them appears to be fully supportive of each other’s choices.”

Commenting on a dance routine, she added: “Oti is dominant” because she moved first in the routine and “uses very large gestures and smiles very broadly”.

Speaking to Daily Star, the expert continued: “Motsi, on the other hand, is more playful.

“She’s a person who wants to be excited for what she has, so she doesn’t want to give up a bird in the hand to search for two in the bush,” Inbaal revealed.

Oti went on to win the series twice during her time on Strictly, lifting the Glitterball Trophy two years in a row in 2019 and 2020.

Her first win was alongside actor Kelvin Fletcher, while her second victory was with comedian Bill Bailey.

The 32-year-old decided after the 2021 series she’d be waving goodbye to the iconic dancefloor after seven years.

Officially breaking the news earlier this year, Oti told her 65,000 Instagram followers: “Never easy to say goodbye.

“Lifting the glitter ball twice and having the best journey with all my celebrities, but also meeting and working with the best team, crew, producers, celebs and incredible professional dancers!

“You are my family and I adore you all forever.”

Oti went on to thank the BBC and revealed that she now “calls the UK home” following her nearly decade-long stint on the show.

Her goodbye post concluded: “I will always Keeeep Dancing! and I will never forget my amazing Strictly experience!”

Both Motsi and Oti are big names in the dancing world, but it seems the younger of the two is keen to explore different paths after her double win on the show.

Motsi hasn’t shown any desire to leave though, and with Inbaal’s expertise indicating she isn’t likely to, it’s safe to assume she will be remaining on the series.

Motsi will be back on screens later on Sunday when this week’s instalment airs following a change in the schedule due to the World Cup coverage on Saturday.

Last week, Motsi agreed with fellow judges Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas that it was time for Kym Marsh to make an exit.

The dance-off saw the actress up against singer Molly Rainford, and Motsi opted to save the latter.

Anton Du Beke was the only judge who wanted to keep Kym in the competition, but with head judge Shirley having the deciding vote, Kym was forced to leave the show.

The semi-finals kick off tonight, and as the competition heats up, the contestants are more determined than ever to make it through.

Strictly Come Dancing airs at 7.15pm on BBC One.
