My hair fell out in handfuls after chemo – I had to hack it off with dog clippers, admits Sarah Beeny | The Sun

SARAH Beeny has revealed how she hacked off her hair with dog clippers after it fell out in "handfuls" following a round of chemotherapy.

The TV star is being treated for breast cancer – a diagnosis she had been dreading since the disease killed her mum 40 years ago.

Sarah has since admitted that she’s shaved her head after losing most of her hair in 24 hours, while undergoing chemotherapy.

But the mum-of-four says she’s facing it head on and counts her blessings saying: “I will see my grandchildren even though she didn’t see hers.”

The 50-year-old also admitted that she is now totally bald – after trimming what’s left of her hair with the dog clippers.

"I am actually completely bald, although most of it falls out," she said.

"And my son shaved it completely a few nights ago, so now it’s totally smooth and weird, and it’s very cold at night.”

"It literally comes out in handfuls and then you get little bits left and that’s worse, cos then you’ve got like tiny bits.

"So then I clipped it with the dog clippers which was a little bit longer, about a cm, and then I got a tool, and now it’s completely smooth."

Property Ladder star Sarah, who revealed her diagnosis in a newspaper interview, faces a mastectomy and radiotherapy.
