Naga Munchetty teases BBC co-star as he begs dont say everything you think

BBC Breakfast's Charlie Stayt hit back at Naga Munchetty after she made a suggestion about him wearing a Eurovision outfit.

The duo resumed their spot on the red sofa on Friday (March 24) for the second day running and presented viewers with the top headlines of the day.

One of those included Eurovision Song Contest now being aired live in cinemas across the country when it kicks off on Tuesday 9 May.

After watching a clip of Sam Ryder performing at Eurovision last year, Naga, 48, joked that Charlie would look great in his outfit.

She said: "You know what, Charlie, you know you said people can dress up in the cinema. I was just thinking what would you wear?" before smirking at he co-star.

"And saw Sam Ryder's outfit and I did think it would kind of work with you," she added.

The 33-year-old's eye-catching outfit was a black denim jumpsuit encrusted with 15,000 beads and gems and was worn when he performed at the 2022 contest in Turin, Italy.

As Charlie simply nodded his head, the newsreader continued: "That's all. It was just a thought I had".

The 60-year-old responded: "Yeah, you don't always have to say what you think all the time".

Naga beamed at the camera before she hastily turned to her co-star and insisted: "Oh, I don't. Trust me, Charlie, I don't!"

Attempting to move on, Charlie turned to meteorologist Sarah Keith-Lucas who was presenting the weather report live from Wadhurst.

"Sarah knows that," Charlie said. What people need is the information they need to know, like you with the weather every day!"

It comes after the BBC Breakfast duo were spotted enjoying a well-deserved break at a pub in Manchester on Monday (March 20).

Charlie kept warm wearing a trendy khaki coat and was seen drinking a pint of beer and puffing on a cigarette.

Meanwhile Naga wrapped up in a black North Face jacket and completed her casual look with knee-high boots.
