Naga Munchetty and her co-star Charlie Stayt were back on Saturday’s BBC Breakfast to present the latest news headlines. As well as discussing what news made the papers, the duo discussed Christmas Day and how they were going to spend December 25. However, viewers quickly became distracted by Naga’s outfit, with many taking to social media to compliment the presenter.
“@BBCBreakfast has Naga come straight into work from being out on the sesh,” user @d237345p joked.
Paul tweeted: ” Naga, you’re truly amazing and beautiful you looked sensational this morning hope you have a great Xmas.”
“Loving the jumper this morning. Merry Christmas,” Amanda praised
While Lee added: “Hi, Naga. You look gorgeous and sparkly this morning.”
Nia went on to compliment: “Chetan, your 5th morning on the sofa and doing a fantastic job.!!!!
“Loving the banter between Charlie and yourself. Naga’s look is just superb.. sending good wishes for Christmas.”
Abi B said: “Where did Naga get her top? I want one.”
Elsewhere in the programme, Naga jokingly clashed with Charlie after her co-star kept interrupting her.
Naga was trying to read an interesting article from one of the newspapers when Charlie kept cutting in.
The presenter discussed the Royal Navy’s ice patrol ship, and how the crew are going to spend Christmas Day.
Naga began: “One of them has been sent a lovely parcel, a mystery Christmas Day box from his family, says he’s sure it’s filled with plenty of sugar-based gifts and ‘We will share them’.
“However, there is a tradition of secret Santa on board, but the secret Santa takes about a month and what they do is they find things on board and they make things.
“So you can’t buy a present since there are no shops out in Antarctica…”
“Dead fish and things like that?” Charlie chipped in which left Naga unimpressed.
Ignoring his co-host’s sigh, he continued: “I am trying to think of things you can find on board that you didn’t already know were there.”
“Can I tell one of them if you let me just finish the story,” Naga said in frustration before acknowledging sports reporter Chetan.
Nodding in agreement, the sports reporter said: “I absolutely was, I wasn’t just reading the sports back pages I promise you, I was listening to every word.
“Now I’m in trouble, Charlie you got me into trouble!”
“So here we are on board the…” Charlie laughed as he poked fun at Naga.
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC One.
