Veteran agent Leroy Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon) left at the start of the 19th series but it wasn’t long before Agent Alden Parker (Gary Cole) filled the void of the authoritative figure. He now leads the team, ensuring the agents do everything in their power to solve often head-scratching crimes. As Cole has made a great impression in the CBS drama, it’s no wonder fans are eager to know more about his personal life.

Who is NCIS actor Gary Cole married to?

NCIS actor Gary Cole, 66, is married to Los Angeles-based interior designer, artist and model Michelle Knapp.

It isn’t clear exactly how long they had been together but the happy couple tied the knot last year in an intimate lakeside ceremony.

Typically, Cole prefers to keep his family life out of the spotlight, as do many of the other NCIS stars.

But his new wife was more than happy to give fans an insight into their special day.

She wrote on Instagram: “Married my best friend #garycole and it was nothing but Family, Friends, Love, Joy, Laughter and Fun.

“Thank you @stepnickdesigns for the gorgeous floral decor and @kelleelaser for capturing our special day and beautiful memories.”

One of the images shared shows Knapp kissing her husband under a floral arch, while a second picture showed off the bride’s stunning backless wedding dress.

It is believed that Cole is Knapp’s first husband but the actor himself has been married before.

Cole was previously married to actress Teddi Siddall for 25 years, who he shares daughter Mary with.

Siddall has been in shows such as Wings, LA Law, Grey’s Anatomy, Happy Days and Hill Street Blues, just to name a few.

They tied the knot in 1992 and welcomed Mary into the world before separating in 2015.

The ex-couple filed for divorce in 2017 but it wasn’t finalised when Siddall passed away the next year at the age of 64.

Like the man in real life, little is known about Cole’s character Agent Parker when he isn’t at work.

But his colleagues were able to find out a bit more about him by the time the series 19 finale came around.

Parker was being framed for murder and ended up going on the run with his ex-wife Vivian Kolchak (Teri Polo).

While they hadn’t always seen eye to eye, Vivian was actually there to help her ex-husband, despite suspicions of her being a traitor.

NCIS season 20 hasn’t been on screen since the beginning of the month.

Thankfully, the end is almost in sight with the drama returning on Monday, January 9.

This will be an extra special episode as it will see NCIS, NCIS Hawaii and NCIS Los Angeles come together for a crossover event, the first time in the franchise’s history.

NCIS returns for the crossover special on Monday, January 9, 2023, on CBS in the USA. A UK release date is yet to be announced.
