Neighbours rich list – Hollywood elite, billionaire, bigger fortune than Kylie

Australian hit soap Neighbours is set to air its final episode after 40 years on our screens. The show was dropped by Channel 5 and failed to secure funding from other networks.

Back in March, Neighbours confirmed the news releasing a statement that confirmed it would be ceasing production after an "extensive search for alternative funding."

Neighbours created some of our favourite stars, including Jason Donavon and Kylie Minogue, who have been approached to appear in the final episode.

However, rounding up all the celebrities Neighbour's has created might be a tough job, as some have gone on to become billionaires, Hollywood actresses and even superheroes after finding fame on the show.

Here we reveal the soap's biggest earners and their net worth:

Holly Valance – £823million

Holly played Felicity 'Flick' Scully before leaving the show in 2002 to pursue a music career. Her single Kiss Kiss went to number one on the UK Official Singles Chart.

Returning to acting, Holly appeared alongside Liam Neeson in Taken as well as acting in American TV shows CSI: Miami, CSI: New York and Entourage to name a few.

She took park in 2011's Strictly Come Dancing line up and made it to the semi-final before finishing in fourth place.

Holly has £15 million of her own money but the majority of her wealth comes from her British billionaire husband and property mogul, Nick Candy, who she married in 2013.

Last year, Nick treated her to a £26million luxury yacht and drafted in hypnotist Paul McKenna to cure her seasickness.

Chris Hemsworth – £97million

Hollywood actor Chris had a short appearance on the show back in 2002 as Jamie Kane, who worked alongside Steph Scully in the garage.

His appearance earned him a major spot on rival Australian soap, Home and Away as Kim Hyde.

Best known for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Hemsworth has also starred in blockbusters including Rush, The Cabin In The Woods, Men In Black International and Spiderhead.

In 2019, Chris was listed as the second on the Forbes’ Highest Paid Actors list. In 2020, it was announced the Hollywood actor would star in the Mad Max: Fury Road spin-off Furiosa, alongside Anya Taylor-Joy.

Kylie Minogue – £100million

Kylie is easily the most famous star Neighbour's has created. She is the highest-selling female Australian artist of all time, having sold over 80 million records worldwide.

Kylie was cast in Neighbours back in 1986, taking on the role as Charlene Mitchell. The wedding between her and Jason Donavan's character Scott Robinson aired in 1987 and attracted 20 million viewers.

Kylie and Jason's off-screen romance led to them having a number one record, Especially For You, together. Her successful music career saw hits such as Can't Get You Out Of My Head, Spinning Around and I Should Be So Lucky.

Outside of music, Kylie launched a wine brand back in 2020, named after her and became the UK’s number one Rose.

Russell Crowe – £89.7 million

Another megastar to come out of Neighbours, Russell made it as an A List Hollywood actor since leaving the show.

The actor played ex con Kenny Larkin in four episodes in the 1980s.

Within the six-year stretch from 1997 to 2003, he starred in best picture nominee, L.A. Confidential, before acting in Gladiator, a performance that earned him an Oscar.

After taking a year off from acting, Russell starred in musical drama Les Misérables alongside the likes of Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman as well as taking on a role in Christopher Nolan's Superman remake, Man of Steel.

He recently acted as Zeus in Thor: Love and Thunder alongside fellow ex-Neighbours star Chris Hemsworth, no doubt adding millions to his already impressive fortune.

Margot Robbie – £19.4 million

Margot started her career in Neighbours between 2008 to 2011.

She had her acting breakthrough after starring alongside Leonardo Di Caprio in black comedy, The Wolf of Wall Street. Margot went on to receive wider recognition in her role as Harley Quinn in DC's Suicide Squad and her character's spin-off, Birds Of Prey.

Acting as figure skater, Tonya Harding in biopic I, Tonya earned Margot critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination. Her acclaim continued as she played 60s darling Sharon Tate with Brad Pitt in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Her wealth is thanks to her stellar acting and her co-founded production company with husband Toby Ackerley, which created Carey Mulligan's 2020 movie Promising Young Woman.

Guy Pearce – £18.7 million

British born actor, Guy featured in Neighbours in 1986 as Mick Young for several years.

Guy caught the attention of the international film industry and shortly had his first major film breakthrough as a drag queen in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert in 1994.

He appeared in Christopher Nolan's neo-noir film, Memento and The Hurt Locker, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe.

Guy had his stint in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as fiery supervillain Aldrich Killian in Iron Man 3 with Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Delta Goodrem – £12 million

Delta started off with a music career, signing a record deal with Sony at the age of 15. Her first hit, I Don't Car was unsuccessful, leading to her second single and album being side-lined due to uncertainty of her future in music.

In 2002, she took to acting and appeared in Neighbours as Nina Tucker, which helped to re-launch her music career.

Her piano-based ballad, Born To Try went to number one in Australia and number three in the UK.

Her self-written album Innocent Eyes spent 29 weeks at number one. It was the highest-selling album in Australia of 2003, having sold 1.2 million copies.

Delta acted as a judge on Australia's The Voice from 2012 to 2015 and played Olivia Newton-John in her biopic called Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted to You in 2018.

Jason Donovan – £7.5m

Jason starred alongside Kylie Minogue as Scott Robinson in Neighbours. The pair had a two year romance after their on-screen character's wed in 1987 and quickly became one of the world's most well-known couples.

After leaving the show, Jason became the chart-topping singer of 1988, selling three million records in UK. In 1989, he took part in Band Aid II's version of Do They Know its Christmas.

Jason appeared in popular game show I'm A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here in 2006, finishing third before turning to a stage career, starring as in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and Priscilla Queen Of The Desert.

He started his stint on Dancing on Ice in 2021, but pulled out in week six due to a back injury.
