One Show chaos as set infested with mice as bosses forced to call pest control

The One Show has been invaded by rodents.

BBC’s flagship magazine and chat show programme has had to call in pest control officers after its high-tech traps started flashing warning lights.

A pest controller found a mouse inside a trap in the staff’s tea-making area and another which was placed in a storage area at the rear of the studio.

The hi-tech traps lock the animal in and then humanely kill them by pumping carbon dioxide into their chamber.

After removing the dead rodents the technician refilled and the traps’ supplies of gas and reset them to catch any further furry intruders.

The One Show is the BBC’s popular early evening magazine show and is hosted by Alex Jones, Ronan Keating, left, and Jermaine Jenas.

Meanwhile, Alex opened up about her marriage to husband Charlie Thomson as she admitted what annoys her the most about him.

She said on air: " So many, I hate time wasting. It's not me, though I've got a list and he'll be watching. My husband does a lot of stuff. Mainly, Charlie, watching rugby videos in the loo or fishing videos."
