Only Connect fans call out glaring blunder on game show – but can you spot what's wrong? | The Sun

ONLY Connect fans have called out a glaring blunder on the latest episode of the show.

The BBC Two quiz programme aired last night and is presented by Victoria Coren Mitchell.

It sees teams compete in a tournament of finding connections between seemingly unrelated clues.

The show's questions will cover any topic, and many may require knowledge of both arcane subject areas and popular culture.

When presented with the clues, contestants are not told the type of the connection, and as such part of the gameplay involves establishing whether the connection is thematic, linguistic, factual or mathematical.

But a question on the latest episode left viewers frustrated as they accused the show of giving a team a point when the answer was wrong.

Taking to social media, one viewer said: "Yet again an answer on #onlyconnect is accepted even though its wrong. ABC and Taxi. @BBCTwo @VictoriaCoren."

In the ABCD question surely the other answers in the sequence are acronyms. C.A.B. isn't an acronym for Taxi. #OnlyConnect," said another.

Meanwhile, viewers were recently less than happy with one contestant on Only Connect who claimed to be too 'grown up' to know the answer to a question about the Twilight films.

Contestant Kat Brown left viewers stunned at home when she appeared to snub the prospect of knowing a question about the popular film franchise on the notoriously high-brow quiz show.

The comments came as she and her two fellow teammates attempted to sort out words into four categories where there was a connection.

With half of the words correctly sorted and identified, Kat's teammates noticed the surnames Swan and Cullen, the last names of the two lead Twilight characters, Edward Cullen and Bella Swan.

After teammate Sara identified the name Black as related to Taylor Lautner's character Jacob Black, she advocated to make that the team's final answer.
