Owen Warner gets 'family approval' amid rumoured romance with Hollyoaks co-star

Owen Warner and Jemma Donovan seem to be pretty close at the moment, and it seems he’s a hit with her family too.

The Hollyoaks co-stars enjoyed a Donovan family holiday together in Italy last weekend in which the I’m A Celeb finalist has apparently got the ‘seal of approval’.

Jemma, 23, reportedly jetted off with her mum Angie, brother Zac, sister Molly, and rumoured flame Owen for a bit of sunshine and red wine.

This comes after the pair shared some very cosy snaps together on April fool’s day, apparently teasing the relationship.

Owen, also 23, wrote alongside the snap, ‘April fools’, while Jemma posted a similar picture on the same day with a sweaty emoji.

In the picture, the pair look to be hugging and holding hands in what is an incredibly coupley pose.

Let’s just say everyone was pretty happy with the image, as one fan wrote: ‘Yay! Love it! You guys make a great couple, on and offscreen 😁😁😁❤️❤️❤️’

Another said: ‘April fools? If not, so here for it 😍’.

In the most recent update, a source told The Sun: ‘Owen seems to have gotten the Donovan family seal of approval after they started following him on Instagram ahead of the trip.’

But pop legend Jason didn’t appear to be in attendance for the trip, so it’s unclear whether he and Owen have even met yet.

Arriving onto the set of the Chester-based soap last year, Jemma made an impression with her social media influencer character Rayne Royce.

Meanwhile, Owen has portrayed Jemma’s now on-screen boyfriend Romeo Nightingale since 2018.

It looks like things could be heating up in the real world now too, so watch this space. 

This comes after Owen starred on I’m A Celebrity alongside disgraced MP Matt Hancock and football Lioness Jill Scott in the 2022 series.
