Paul takes revenge on Carla as she faces losing everything in Corrie

Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) has had a difficult couple of weeks after being knocked over by the Underworld van in Coronation Street.

However, his luck could be set to improve, as tonight Dee Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling Brown) encouraged him to sue for loss of earnings.

The accident happened when Carla Barlow (Alison King) got behind the wheel of the van, unaware that she had been spiked with LSD. Unable to keep control of the vehicle, she crashed into Paul, knocking him off a motorbike.

The incident left Paul with an injury to his hand, leaving him unable to work.

This evening, he was given the news by Dr Gaddass that it could be sometime before he is able to make a living again.

In order to make up for loss of earnings, Paul and Dee Dee decided to sue Underworld.

However, Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) had other ideas.

Having learned that Carla was not insured to drive the van, he offered Paul an outright settlement of £15,000.

Paul was more than chuffed and accepted immediately, rushing over to share the news with his lawyer friend.

Dee Dee wasn’t so pleased, though, and urged him to send the money back.

She pointed out that the settlement was less than a year’s wages, and what would happen if he needed to take longer than that off work?

Instead, she pointed out that they should wait for an official diagnosis, as they may be able to get even more.

Paul was unsure, not wanting to hurt Carla and Peter, but ultimately agreed.

He later broke the news to the couple, who revealed the truth about the insurance.

Dee Dee was glum as she broke the news that they would no longer be able to sue Underworld, but would have to go after Carla herself.

With Carla being chased out of Underworld by Stephen (Todd Boyce), and concerned that her psychosis may be rearing its head again, could she be set to lose everything?
