Phillip Schofield makes awkward joke with Holly Willoughby during This Morning leaving fans baffled | The Sun
PHILLIP Schofield has left This Morning fans baffled after making an awkward joke with Holly Willoughby.
The presenter was seen returning to the sofa alongside his co-star, despite rumours circling of their behind-the-scenes fallout.
Phillip, 61, and Holly, 42, were joined in the studio by a fitness expert for a segment all about how to keep fit.
The pair were seen getting stuck in with different equipment alongside Simon Waterson for an abs workout on the floor.
The co-presenters performed a number of moves on yoga mats, with Holly struggling to keep up with their plank position.
But Phillip left fans baffled when he made an awkward joke, after appearing noticeably quieter during the segment.

As they were seen sitting on the floor after the workout, he joked: "Is that the first link we've done from the floor?
"It might be, so if you're just tuning in now you must be thinking what the hell?" Holly said, as Phillip chimed in: "What are they doing?"
"I think they’ve read the Twitter remarks over the break and tried to banter over a core workout, not comfortable and no eye contact," one fan reacted of the scenes on Twitter.
"Before the break she wasn't paying him no mind, then they're laughing and bantering… very odd," a second said.

It comes as Phillip and Holly refused to address growing doubts over their future during their strained return to This Morning.
Today they put on a united front, but failed to address their issues, even during the paper review.
The pair grew very emotional at one point as they discussed friendship and "good people" after watching a moving moment between rugby players.
It comes after The Sun first reported how the TV stars' relationship was under strain.
Phillip Schofield confronted his co-star Holly Willoughby in a tense phone call shortly after their rift was made public.
It's understood Holly was left blindsided when Phil, 61, released a statement on their feud without consulting her.
Phil had been fearful he could be axed from the ITV daytime show over their widening feud.
Holly and Phil are said to have come to a truce in order to host the show today.
A source said: “Holly and Phil are professionals and they can turn it on like no one else.
“Although behind the scenes their relationship is nothing like it was, they are both dedicated to This Morning and keeping it together for viewers.”
The source added: “This Morning are aware of the issues and are doing everything they can to keep things running smoothly.”
Earlier today we told how Phil has hired a lawyer after being “blindsided” by how public their fall out has become.
An insider told The Sun: “Phil has instructed a lawyer to help keep his reputation intact.
“They are overseeing stories relating to ITV and his role on This Morning and are ensuring Phil is protected.
