Coronation Street couple ripped apart as affair ‘exposed’

Coronation Street: Damon threatens Nick over drug deal

Coronation Street bad boy Damon Hay (played by Ciaran Griffiths) has continued to cause trouble in Weatherfield and is set to continue to pursue Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien) despite her warning to him.

Official spoilers have revealed that Sarah is set to give in to temptation and could risk being caught out by her husband Adam Barlow (Samuel Robertson).

In upcoming scenes, Sarah overhears Dee-Dee Bailey (Shannique Sterling-Brown) and Beth Tinker (Lisa George) gossiping about Damon’s black eye and calls at the bistro to find Damon there alone.

Unable to resist, Damon leans in and kisses her as Sarah kisses him back and they soon head into the office, locking the door behind them.

Elsewhere, Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) has his day in court where he pleads guilty to the car theft which he thought would help with his money problems.

Later, Adam and Dee-Dee tell Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) that they called at the bistro as they need a meeting about the late licence, but they found the place locked.

Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), Leanne, Adam and Dee-Dee head into the bistro wondering where Damon’s got to.

In the office Sarah and Damon freeze with fear, but will they be caught red-handed?

If the pair of them managed to hide before Adam saw them, will Sarah finally come clean about how she feels about Damon?

Could being almost caught mean that Sarah comes to her senses and kick Damon from her mind for good?

The only other person to know about their affair is Dee-Dee, who promised she wouldn’t say anything.

She warned Sarah that it shouldn’t be her that she should be worried about, as Damon could use their affair as blackmail.

Speaking to Express.co.uk and other press back in December, writer Iain MacLeod revealed: “As the year goes on, he’s got this magnetic attraction for a notable high-profile female character on the show.

“[She] is going to have her head turned in a way that has very far-reaching consequences.

“I’m currently working on storylines for June and there’s a build-up and then a colossal explosion in that story involving Damon and this love story that will be on air in June.”

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
