Taylor Swift posed with Matt Healys mum Denis Welch months ago amid new romance

Taylor Swift posed for snaps with Loose Women panellist Denise Welch months ago while attending a 1975 concert, ahead of rumours of a romance between Taylor and the band's frontman Matty Healy.

Denise, 64, shared the photo to her Instagram page the morning after the show, penning the caption: "Oh what a night at a sold out 02. So proud I can’t even begin!!" she then tagged the Blank Space singer.

Fans were quick to take to the comment section to share their excitement, with one writing: "Name a more iconic duo!!"

"This is beyond iconic" added another, while a third wrote: "Taylor gets to meet Denise."

The snap was posted just a few weeks ago, ahead of the recent claims that Taylor and Denise's son Matty are "madly in love" following her split from actor Joe Alwyn.

A source close to the Bad Blood singer told The Sun: "She and Matty are madly in love. It’s super-early days, but it feels right. They first dated, very briefly, almost ten years ago but timings just didn’t work out."

They continued: "They are both massively proud and excited about this relationship and, unlike Taylor’s last one — which was very much kept out of the spotlight, deliberately — she wants to ‘own’ this romance, and not hide it away.

“Taylor just wants to live her life, and be happy. She’s told pals Matty is flying to Nashville over the weekend to support her on the next leg of her tour.”

Taylor recently split from The Favourite star Joe, 32, although it's now thought that this happened in February, and not April as widely reported.

According to ET, the pair's split was "amicable" and was "not dramatic", with a source telling the publication: "The relationship had just run its course. It's why [Alwyn] hasn't been spotted at any shows."

However, since their split, a number of Taylor's close family and friends unfollowed the Conversations With Friends star on Instagram, leading many fans to believe their break up wasn't as "amicable" as they'd like to have us believe.

Last month Matty appeared to reference Taylor's hugely successful tour, Eras, as he opened up about his decision to quit social media.

"It’s because everything happens in eras. The 1975 is a very eras band. The end of me being a f***ing a**hole is coming to an end,” he said, according to The Sun.

“I’ve had enough. I perform all the time and it’s my job. I love doing this but I can’t perform off the stage any more as I just want to be a bloke.”
