Phillip Schofields This Morning return date confirmed
Phillip Schofield says talking ‘saved me’ after discussing Emmerdale storyline
This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield hasn’t been presenting the ITV magazine show alongside his usual co-host Holly Willoughby since last month. Other ITV stars are now joining him in taking a break from presenting duties as Holly and Lorraine Kelly have both taken the current week off for the Easter break. A date for Phillip’s return has now been confirmed.
Although the 61-year-old took all of last week off prior to the Easter holidays, he will now be taking another couple of weeks away from his hosting duties.
The presenter took “pre-planned leave” and will be making a comeback on Monday, April 17.
Friday hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary will be stepping in to present full-time for the next couple of weeks.
The duo began their non-typical hours on Monday and will be continuing for the rest of Easter.
While an official date wasn’t given initially, it was announced Phillip would be taking “weeks” off.
On Monday, March 27 Holly explained Phillip was having the week off and was joined by Alison to host the show.
She explained: “Phil is having a week off, so all the adults have left the building and Alison has come.”
On top of the additional week, Phillip will take off the springtime break as he and Holly do every year.
The pair’s break had already been scheduled by ITV, as it is not out of the ordinary for them to take two weeks off, meaning Phillip will have had some extra time away from the show.
Last week, Holly was joined by Alison on Monday and Tuesday’s editions of the show, while comedian Joel Dommett joined the 42-year-old for the rest of the week.
The star teased working alongside “the legendary” Alison on her Instagram page last week.

She also posted photos of her temporary co-stars each day, sharing a snap of her and Alison after Monday’s instalment.
Holly wrote: “Love you @alisonhammond55 same time tomorrow?”
Later in the week, she posted a smiling selfie with Joel, captioning it: “Look whose come to play!”
Viewers can expect a two-week stint of Alison and Dermot starting this week before Holly and Phillip return to the iconic sofa.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10m on ITV.
