Ranvir Singh reveals she and son have rule they don’t flush wee amid water demand debate
Ranvir Singh has revealed that she and her son don’t flush wees down the loo in a bid to save water, but admitted that it can be “slightly uncomfortable” at times.
Ranvir, 44, is currently sitting in for Lorraine Kelly and ahead of programme beginning, she chatted with today’s Good Morning Britain hosts, Charlotte Hawkins – who has been sitting in for Kate Garraway as she cares for husband Derek Draper – and Ed Balls.
The pair had just been having a debate about water saving amid claims that the UK could soon face a drought, and begged the question of if people should flush their number ones or not.
As Ranvir went to introduce what’s happening on today’s Lorraine, Wednesday 27 July, the mum-of-one was asked what rules she follows in her household in regards to flushing.
“We have had a rule in our house that we don’t flush wees,” she revealed. “We don’t during the day. We just don’t.”
However, Ranvir went on to call an awkward situation when a guest asked to use their loo.
“It was sort of slightly uncomfortable because we had someone delivering furniture, and they asked to nip to the loo, and I said ‘Oh yeah, it’s just down there’, but then I had to race past him like ‘Wait! Wait! Hang on!’ and I went and flushed.
“I was like ‘I’m so sorry we don’t flush wees’.”
Ranvir’s appearance on Lorraine comes after she put on a loved-up display with boyfriend Lewis Church, 26, over the weekend when they attended Ascot together.
Ranvir's 12 year old son Tushaan was also in tow.
In photos taken at the prestige event, Ranvir wowed in a stunning white dress, which she teamed with a pair of matching court heels and a large navy hat.
Meanwhile, Louis looked dapper in a plain navy blue suit, shirt and tie with a pair of gold Ray-Ban sunglasses. Tushaan, who was pictured standing in between his mum and Louis, looked just as smart – wearing a blue checked suit, shirt and tie.
During the event, Ranvir kept her 121,000 followers up to date with what she was up to.
Alongside a photo of her half-empty champagne glass, she took to her Instagram story to write: "Heading into the final race of the day and feeling lighter, brighter and very happy!"
She also posted a selfie of her and Louis looking pretty smitten.
