NOVELTY noses, non-uniform days, and fundraising events – Red Nose Day is a staple in the British calendar.
The annual event, run by charity Comic Relief, enlists celebrities to provide entertainment and encourage donations
How do I donate to Red Nose Day 2023?
Donations can be made to Red Nose Day online through their website or through purchasing a Comic Relief red nose, either online, through Amazon, or in stores such as Argos and Sainsburys.
Money can also be donated via text, for example texting YES to 70205 means you will donate £5 or texting YES to 70210 means you will donate £10. Find more details on how to donate via text on the Comic Relief website.
Children wishing to raise money themselves can also download a Red Nose Day pack.

Celebrity host Sir Lenny Henry, who also will be encouraging public donations throughout the three hour show, with a mixture of comedy specials, cameos and live performances throughout.
How much did Red Nose Day raise in 2022?
On March 18, 2022, a whopping £42.8M was raised during the annual telethon.
However, the amount was down from £52M in 2021.
But Comic Relief organisers said the total showed “overwhelming kindness and generosity” and took the total raised past £1.5bn since it was founded in 1985.

How to watch Red Nose Day?
Red Nose Day 2023 kicks off on BBC One at 7pm on Friday (March 17, 2023).
The annual telethon brings with it an evening of entertainment featuring a host of stars, live music, exclusive prizes, comedy and much more.
While the full TV schedule is yet to be announced, we do know that Kylie Minogue will appear in a one-off special of BBC sitcom Ghosts.
There'll also be a parody of Love Island airing on the evening of Red Nose Day, which will see some unexpected contestants looking for love.
