Sarah Beeny shares career announcement as she issues update after cancer battle

Sarah Beeny has revealed she will be returning to TV after finishing chemotherapy.

The 51-year-old presenter was diagnosed with breast cancer in August last year.

She began chemotherapy treatment but was forced to cancel one of her latest sessions after her white blood cell count was discovered to be too low.

The property expert recently celebrated finishing her run of chemotherapy on Instagram.

She wrote in a post: "Not sure what is making the sun shine the most – two days into steroids (happy pills!!!) – no more chemo or @the_entitled_sons releasing their best song yet…

"Yes Friday IS a good day xx #finishedchemo #HEAVENKNOWS @nickyjohnston"

Sarah appeared on ITV's Lorraine on Friday (April 14) to discuss her new show, Sarah Beeny's New Life in the Country, with stand-in host Christine Lampard.

The Channel 4 series follows Sarah and her family – which includes her husband Graham Swift and their four children as they adapt to life after moving to Somerset.

The property expert swapped London life for a new start on a 220-acre, semi-derelict former dairy farm, where they plan to build a modern stately home of their dreams.

Sharing the promotional photo on Instagram, she wrote: ""New series out on Monday! As you can see, filmed last year – at a time when I took my hair for granted!"

Sarah's fans were delighted with the news and flocked to the comment section.

One wrote: "Welcome back I can’t wait to watch the new series."

Another posted: "Hooray! I've been waiting for another series. Looking forward to seeing what you've done since the last one. Btw, your hair looks fabulous now!"

"Fabulous, loved following your journey as a family in the last series. You are a well loved lady," a third added.

Her cancer diagnosis comes after the Double Your House star lost her mum to the same disease when she was just 10 years old.

Sarah's mother was 39 at the time of her passing.

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 9am
