Selling the OC star Tyler Stanaland and wife Brittany Snow split
Brittany Snow and husband Tyler Stanaland have called time on their marriage, just weeks after Selling the OC was released.
The pair – who were married for two years – confirmed the news in similar statements on Instagram, alongside a black-and-white photo as they cuddled on a train.
‘After time and consideration, Britt and I have made the difficult decision to separate,’ the message shared on the real estate agent’s account read. ‘This decision was made with love and mutual respect for one another.
‘We have realized we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives.
‘We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie.
‘We sincerely appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter.’
Tyler and Pitch Perfect star Brittany started dating in 2018 and announced their engagement the following year.
‘A couple weeks ago, I said “YES” about a million times to the man of my wildest & most beautiful dreams,’ the Hollywood actress wrote on Instagram at the time. ‘After celebrating with friends and family, we wanted to let a few more friends (you guys) know… this happened.
‘I’m still pinching myself and thanking my lucky stars for the truest feeling I’ve ever felt.
‘Thank you @tylerstanaland for the happiest day of my life & for not proposing in this creepy empty restaurant.’

They tied the knot in March of the following year, hosting their ceremony at a vineyard in Malibu before the Covid lockdown hit.
However, their relationship was thrown into the spotlight following season one of Selling the OC.
In the Selling Sunset spin-off, it emerged that Kayla Cardona had tried it on with Tyler during a night out – news which left their co-stars reeling.
The incident impacted her professional life as she rowed with colleagues Polly Brindle and Alex Hall over her behavior, with the office divided following the incident.
She soon apologized to the former professional surfer over the incident, with the pair soon moving on.
‘My wife and I are very strong. We communicate. And there’s no issue between us,’ he said at the time.
Tyler recently spoke of Brittany’s reaction to the scenes and explained that she found the show as a whole ‘entertaining’.
‘She watched it. I mean, she thought – like everybody else did – it’s entertaining. It’s a lot, but it’s good,’ he told Us Weekly, explaining that they both choose to ‘keep our professional lives separate.
‘That was a decision that we made long ago, and this was something that I did for myself and I just wanted to keep it that way.’
Although he stopped short of revealing what the John Tucker Must Die lead made of the scenes concerning his issues with Kayla, he added: ‘It’s something that in a marriage – you have to have trust, especially in this space and especially hers.
‘It’s something that we are fortunate to have.’
