Sheridan Smith shares rare glimpse of her son as she reveals guilt at being working mum | The Sun

SHERIDAN Smith has shared a small clip of her rarely-seen toddler gazing at her on TV, admitting she struggles to be away from him for work.

The West End star and TV presenter appeared on The One Show, and her little boy Billy was seen gazing at the screen and calling out for her, not understanding she couldn't hear him.

Dressed in his pyjamas and ready for bed, little Billy – born May 2020 -is seen on his tiptoes as he touches the TV and repeatedly asks: "Mama?"

Filmed by a family friend who was looking after him, Sheridan admitted seeing the clip made her emotional as she shared the moment online.

"🥹🥰❤️ he’ll understand one day, my perfect little angel 👩‍👦 #workingmums 🥲," she wrote.

"He slept in mummy’s bed when I got home 🥹 major mum guilt! 😢 But we do what we gotta do for our babies. ❤️ single mammas x"

Sheridan largely keeps Billy, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Jamie Horn, away from the spotlight, with only special occasions warranting a photo being shared of him.

Her first picture was shared in August 2021, with little to no sharing since.

The star was on The One Show last week promoting her new role in Shirley Valentine, a stage adaptation of the 1989 film of the same name.

The film tracks a woman who, unhappy with her stay-at-home mum life of living for other people, decides to take a dream trip to Greece with her best friend.
