Simon Cowells unrecognisable appearance distracts BGT fans
BGT: Bruno could have ‘killed’ Simon after prank
Simon Cowell also welcomed a new judge to Britain’s Got Talent and saw Bruno Tonioli joining him, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon on the panel. The former Strictly Come Dancing judge replaced David Walliams, who confirmed he was leaving the ITV show last year. However, as the first act took to the stage, viewers became distracted by the music mogul’s appearance. Hosts Ant and Dec also poked fun at their co-star’s face at the beginning of the show.
As he introduced the judges to the studio audience, Declan Donnelly said: “We have a new face joining the judging panel.”
“What? Simon has a new face?” Ant McPartlin went on to joke.
The comedy duo were referring to new judge Bruno, but this didn’t stop them making fun of Simon.
The father-of-one has since responded to Ant and Dec’s joke about having a face lift.
Simon told Mirror Online: “I think it’s hysterical. I mean, it just makes me laugh.
“I haven’t had a facelift or anything. I’ve had a bit of Botox or whatever, but nothing drastic.
“So when I hear about this stuff, honestly it does make me laugh.”
Despite Simon insisting he has had no major work done, fans took to Twitter in droves to share their concerns for the BGT judge.
@AnthonyShannon2 asked: “What is going on with Simon?”
@kelli3louise commented: “Simon is looking thin #BGT.”
While @MissMajorB added: “#BGT Seeing Simon Cowell and his face!!!”

The first act who took to the stage on Saturday night was a contestant dressed up as Darth Vader.
Simon admitted he’d had high hopes for the act, but told Bruno he was “embarrassed” about it as all four judges pressed their red buzzers.
“I thought this was going to be a great year,” the judge said.
Bruno added: “The force is definitely not with you.”
Britain’s Got Talent returns on Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
